Major racial harassement case won by Citizens Advice Client
ImageA hospital porter helped by his local Citizens Advice Bureau was today awarded £35,700 after winning a major racial harassment and unfair dismissal case against his employer, a contractor for the NHS. The award, which was announced today (Wednesday 13 January) by Judge Manley at Watford Employment Tribunal, is one of the highest payments a defendant can be awarded in this type of case.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a New Year's Day murder.
At around 05.00hrs on Friday 1 January a shooting took place inside the Newton Arms pub, Queen's Road, Croydon. The venue was hosting a private New Year's Eve party.  Two men were shot and were taken to hospital.
